FAQs

Here is some helpful information about taking

my on-demand courses.

Navigation

There is no fee to use the TalentLMS platform which runs my programs.

This on-demand course allows you to pause and replay any section of this course. However, you must complete all the material and let any video or audio lessons run to completion.

At the end of a screen, in order to go forward, you will have to click "completed--let's continue"; you may have to answer questions before you can move forward.

There is a tutorial video in introductory section of all of my courses or you can go thttps://debbietheteacher.com/using-talent-lms. On that same page, you can print out instructions for navigating the course. The TalentLMS platform is easy to use, though.

All assignments have to be completed before you can receive credit for the course (unless you are in enrolled in one of the exam prep courses or you don't need the credit for the course.

Course Completion

If you are taking this course for instructor development credit, you may have an NCREC-imposed deadline for completion (typically June 30.) Please check with the NCREC.

Also, you will receive an official certificate upon completion of the course that you must submit to the NCREC.

Course Materials

A copy of your course manual is provided on this website. There is a FILES menu on the top bar of this page.  Point to it with your cursor or mouse and choose the file to download from the drop-down list. It is not necessary to print it out.  Save the trees! There may be other handouts as well.

Participation

To aid in your learning of the course material, you will be asked to engage in a number of interactive exercises, including quizzes where you must score 70% to go forward. Some exercises require you to upload a free-form response before you move on.

Yes, I will be looking at your responses. Yes, grammar and punctuation count.  (I'm a former English teacher. I can't help myself.)

Breaks

Take breaks whenever you feel the need to rest. If the system detects that you are inactive, you will still stay logged into the course for as long as three hours without having to log back in. After 3 hours of inactivity, the system will log you out.

Course Access

Following initial purchase of the course, you will be able to start the online course at any time during the period allowed by your regulatory agency.

Your course access period begins from the date of purchase. You will be allowed to access the course for 30 days following completion of the course.

If you experience a hardship situation and are not able to complete your course, you may request an extension based on written approval from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.

Computer hardware/software requirements; troubleshooting; technical support

My courses run on the Internet via TalentLMS, a cloud-based teaching platform. Having a fast Wi-Fi connection is helpful.

If you have any problems of a technical or content nature, please contact me at DebbieTheTeacher@gmail.com or though the course messaging system. You may also call me at 919.593.0761 but since I have lost some of my hearing, an email is much better for me. I should respond in less than 24 hours.

Refunds

Once you have agreed to these rules of engagement and started the course, no refunds are issued. If you decide you do not want to go beyond this screen, let me know and I will issue you a refund.  Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Let me know your concerns. I try to make my students happy.
